LOS BANOS — November 2, 2026. Los Banos’ city visitor page identifies Merced County’s Micro Bus as an on-demand alternative to conventional fixed-route buses, using designated virtual stops.
How the system differs from a scheduled bus
The city compares Micro Bus with ride-hailing, but within a defined service area and with virtual pickup locations about a quarter mile apart. Residents can request a trip through a smartphone app, website or customer-service telephone service.
Traditional routes still operate
The Bus has regional fixed-route and paratransit services; the city lists fifteen fixed routes and two deviated fixed routes within the broader network. A rider should not assume Micro Bus operates at the same hours or has the same fares as every regional route.
Plan accessibility and transfer needs
Check the official provider’s live service map, pickup point, reservation requirement and vehicle accommodation before leaving home. An on-demand request may be subject to vehicle availability and eligibility rules.
